an important picture

you might well wonder why I call this an important picture. After all, it's just Aby and Liam as we're sitting down to dinner. Maybe you might notice that Liam is grabbing his ears.

Well, I'd like to tell you about this unforgettable event. As we sat down to dinner, Liam began to exhibit certain 'signs' that we'd never seen before. He wouldn't be still, nor would he eat certain foods that we know are his favorites. Without a doubt, this was cause for concern, for at least a minute or two....until he proceeded to projectile vomit all over the place. To (roughly) quote my sister, who was present at the time "I never knew he could hold so much liquid". It is absolutely true, the volume he presented to us was truely amazing. He puked all over the table, the floor and when we didn't know what to do, Aby grabbed her coat and placed it in front of him and the dining area, he filled that too. The vomiting aside, he was miserable. As very proud parents, I can still point out that we've taken him out to dinner countless time with no more of an incident than some flirtatious glances, and now we have a proverbial notch on our parental walking stick. In the end, we found that he caught a case of the far-too-common rotovirus, a very common virus affecting millions of children annually. Anyways, it was our first taste, and it was in spectacular fashion. The real end of the story includes blow-out diapers and many hours of lost sleep, but I doubt you are interested in that!

So, to wrap this up, I hope you enjoy the pictures of me while my Abuelita and Tia visited and I can't wait to hear from all my friends. Paz, Liam
